As much as I love vacations with my kiddo in tow (and I do love traveling with him), sometimes you need a more romantic getaway with your partner to reconnect away from the stress of your day-to-day lives and to-do lists! Couples Tower Isle, Jamaica is the perfect place!

While you can certainly work some quality alone time into your normal week or month by planning a date night, sending the kids to the grandparents for the weekend, etc., nothing feels quite so freeing as going somewhere new that you can discover together without the constant “mom!” or “dad!” being yelled at you.
✔PRO TIP: Make sure you grab your free packing checklist! It has everything you'll need in an easy-to-use PDF checklist that you can use over & over!
If you are ready for one of these much-needed romantic getaways, consider the all-inclusive, adults-only Couples Tower Isle in Jamaica. Let's dive into our Couples Tower Isle review.

First Impressions
One of the first things you notice when you arrive at Couples Tower Isle is how close you are to the beach and ocean. We’ve stayed at other all-inclusives and often they are massive resorts and it’s a 20-minute walk just to see the beach, much less get in the water. Not here – the private beach is so close you can almost touch it.
The second thing you notice is that the staff are all so friendly and welcoming. You are greeted with a rum cocktail and a “welcome home.”
Quaint & Cozy
Couples Tower Isle is a small resort with 220 rooms. This gives the whole place a cozy, intimate feel that we loved. We stayed in one of the least expensive rooms with a garden view. It was not the fanciest all-inclusive room I’ve been in, but it was nice. There are various rooms to choose from including many ocean view rooms. Want some serious luxury? Stay in one of their Signature Oasis Spa Villa’s – 639 square foot private villa with a separate living room, private plunge pool, and unlimited spa services – WOW!

Entertainment & Excursions at Couples Tower Isle
Tower Isle
You can’t mention Couples Tower Isle without mentioning the all-nude island – yes, I said NUDE! The small island (Tower Isle) is just a stone's throw from the main beach/resort…just far enough away that you can’t make out any unmentionables with the naked eye (pun totally intended).
No individuals are allowed to go to the island – couples only & nudity is required once you get there. I am told that there’s a pool with a swim-up bar, areas to sunbathe (careful), and sand volleyball (yeah, um no). If strutting around in the buff amongst strangers is not your idea of a good time, not to worry, there are plenty of “clothing required” things to do on the mainland.

Daily & Evening Entertainment at Couples Tower Isle
There are a variety of entertainment options all day and into the night including things like a tie-die class, pool volleyball, piano sing-a-long, etc. When we were there, we had dinner on the beach one evening with “Cirque de Soleil” style entertainment. One day, we took a walk through the area neighborhood with one of the guides. Another evening we enjoyed the Silver Bird Steel Band (they were excellent).

Excellent Excursions
Included in the price of your stay is unlimited scuba diving and snorkeling, as well as kayak rentals, windsurfing, etc. If you want to scuba dive, you need to try to reserve that before you arrive or as soon as you get there. Spots fill up fast and we missed out. We did go snorkeling though and it was great!

There are several off-site excursions as well. I HIGHLY recommend a trip to Dunn’s River Falls. With the help of your guide, you’ll make your way up the falls. The water is cold and refreshing and it is a really awesome experience.
Beware as you leave. The falls are located in a sort of park and as you leave, you will be weaving through an outdoor shopping area. The people running the little shops are VERY pushy. They will hand you things from their shop as if they are giving it to you…they are not. They’ll ask for your name and start carving on whatever item they are trying to sell you. Don’t take anything from them unless you intend to buy it.
Food & Drink
The resort has 6 restaurants (all very good), 5 bars/lounges, plus a beach bar and swim-up pool bar (don’t you just love a swim-up bar). I recommend Ting & Rum. Ting is a grapefruit soda and this particular drink is very popular in Jamaica. We also really enjoyed the piano bar. The property also has 4 pools. It’s nice aNd spread out and it never feels overly crowded.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If you are looking for a place to relax and reconnect with your adult self and your spouse, this is the perfect place. Jamaica is a beautiful & tropical place to visit. I don’t repeat travel destinations often, but I have definitely considered returning to this one because we enjoyed it so much.
